About Rashaun Williams
The Mission of Kemetic Kinetics is to bring families closer to their birthright through movement arts. The Vision of Kemetic Kinetics is to see healthy mental, physical and spiritual warriorship on Earth.
Rashaun Williams convened Kemetic Kinetics in 2024. He has studied, trained, and practiced in various movement and martial arts since 2002.
Also known as DJ Reezey, Rashaun began his professional career in movement arts and humanities in 2009 environmental sustainability. In 2011, he directed career education and entrepreneurship internship and expanded his knowledge in karate, taekwondo, muay thai, parkour and more before graduating high school in 2012.
In 2013, he was awarded the Black Male Engagement Award by the Knight Foundation for his environmental justice and youth development work throughout his high school years. He built a social entrepreneurship bootcamps, supported social enterprises and nonprofits startup and scale, and in 2015 was awarded the President’s Volunteer Service Award by The Corporation for National and Community Service and The White House for the culmination of my altruism across the country.
By 2019, Rashaun was working as a public school educator, an after school program and summer camp director, and began politically organizing and lobbying for the human rights of Black Americans in Philadelphia. He was elected co-chair of the Philadelphia chapter of N’COBRA and in 2023 he authored and co-chaired the Philadelphia Reparations Task Force until 2024.
